Skills needed to keep your gun running when it stops in the middle of a fight are important skills to develop. Although modern firearms are extremely reliable and it is unlikely to have to reload your firearm in a fight, learning these skills and being able to apply them in a defensive context make them important skills to develop. These skills (emergency reloads, clearing malfunctions) are taught is a manner that focuses on applying the skills as efficiently as you can in the context armed defense of use over the widest set of circumstances. You will be introduced to a reloading technique and a malfunction response using non-visual cues to get the gun running again when your brain demands that you remain focused on the bad guy or it’s dark and we can’t see the gun. Keeping your gun running in a fight is an essential skill to have if you own a gun for personal defense.
